Integrative project (SAE24)

Context

Learning and assessment situation number 24, in the first year of my BUT, asks the whole class to put to work every skill acquired during the year: telephony, network addressing, server configuration for various services and deploying solutions for a company. The goal is to design and build a complete network for a company. The project also includes project management: defining specific tasks and a backward schedule as a Gantt chart.

What I did

• Took on the role of team lead, responsible for the overall organization of the project.
• Assigned tasks and made sure deadlines were met.
• Oversaw each step to keep the project on track and see it through.

Architecture

• Team lead: task assignment and deadlines.
• Whole class: a single network, built by many hands.
• Backward schedule: Gantt chart and delivery milestones.

The company network was modeled in Cisco Packet Tracer to represent the topology built physically.
